1. Who We Are

Youlance LLC (“Youlance,” “we,” “us”) operates the website youlancehealth.space, the Youlance Health App(the “App,” available on the Apple App Store and Google Play), and provides hormonal health coaching, digital products, educational content, and the Bloodwork Companion (an AI-supported educational reflection on personal lab results). We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable data protection laws.

Registered as Youlance LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan WY 82801, USA · EIN 38-4352682.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data when you interact with our website, coaching services, or the Youlance Health App:

  • Account information: Name, email address, country, sign-in identifier (Apple ID, Google, or email)
  • Profile and onboarding data: Age, height, weight, body type (ecto / meso / endo), cycle status, fitness and nutrition goals, hormonal symptoms (provided during onboarding in the App)
  • Cycle and health logs (App): Period start and end dates, body temperature, symptoms, mood, energy, daily check-in entries, lunar phase preference, and any meal photos you choose to submit to the Meal Analysis tool
  • Quiz responses (Website): Health-related information you voluntarily provide through our Body & Cycle Analysis quiz
  • Bloodwork Companion data (special category — Article 9 GDPR): If you purchase the Bloodwork Companion, we additionally collect and process the bloodwork lab values you upload, your screening responses, the lab you used, and the AI-generated educational reflection produced from this input. These are special category personal data. We process them only with your explicit consent, given at upload time.
  • Usage and device data: App version, device model, OS version, anonymized usage events, crash logs, IP address (transient)
  • Payment data: Processed securely by Apple (in-app purchases) or Stripe (web). We do not store credit card information.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate the App and personalize cycle, nutrition, workout, and insight content to your current phase
  • To generate phase-aligned recipes, meal analysis feedback, and workout plans through our intelligent tools (Premium feature)
  • To provide personalized quiz results and recommendations on the website
  • To process coaching applications and payments
  • To generate and deliver your Bloodwork Companion educational reflection
  • To run automated safety checks on lab values and refund you if critical thresholds are met
  • To send you transactional communication (purchase confirmations, account emails) and, if you opted in, occasional product updates
  • To improve the App and our website, debug issues, and prevent abuse
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not use your cycle or health data for advertising.

4. AI Processing Disclosure

The Youlance Health App and the Bloodwork Companion use artificial intelligence (large language models provided by Anthropic PBC, USA) to power three features inside the App: the Recipe Generator, the Meal Analysis, and the Workout Generator. You consent to this AI processing when you tap one of these tools.

No automated decision with legal or similarly significant effect is made by the AI. Critical-value thresholds in the Bloodwork Companion (e.g. dangerously low or high markers) are detected by a deterministic safety system, not by AI judgement, and trigger an automatic refund and a referral to your healthcare provider.

When accessed via API, our AI sub-processor (Anthropic) does not retain user data for model training.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR): When you create an account, complete onboarding, log symptoms or photos in the App, submit a form, take the quiz, or upload bloodwork. Special category health data is processed only on this explicit consent basis.
  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): When you purchase a Premium subscription, coaching services, or the Bloodwork Companion
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): For App analytics, crash reporting, security, and product improvement
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): For tax records, refund records, and similar

You may withdraw consent for any data processing at any time by emailing hannah@youlancehealth.space or by deleting your account from inside the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that already happened before the withdrawal.

6. Sub-processors & Security

Your data is stored securely using the following sub-processors. All data is transferred encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Where US-based, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

  • Meal photos submitted to the Meal Analysis tool are processed transiently and deleted within 60 seconds. They are never stored long-term and are never used for any purpose other than producing your phase-aligned feedback for that meal.

11. Apple App Tracking Transparency

The Youlance Health App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not use the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). We do not display Apple's ATT permission prompt because we do not engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking.

12. International Data Transfers

The Youlance Health App and our website are operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required (e.g. for EU/UK users), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to safeguard those transfers.
